NTA UGC NET June 2025 Examination: The most awaited exam by aspirants of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) has released by The National Testing Agency (NTA) for University Grant Commission UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for June 2025 Examination. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in relevant subject from UGC-recognized institutions
  • Final year students can apply provisionally but must complete degree within 2 years (for JRF/Assistant Professor) or 1 year (for Ph.D. only) from NET result date
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree candidates need 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS)
  • Ph.D. holders who completed Master's by 19 September 1991 get 5% relaxation (50% marks)

Age Limits:

  • JRF: Maximum 30 years as of 1 June 2025 (relaxation up to 5 years for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender/women/research experience/armed forces service; 3 years for LLM degree holders)
  • Assistant Professor/Ph.D. Admission: No upper age limit

Subjects:

Candidates must appear in their postgraduate subject or a related subject if their subject is not listed (86 subjects available - see complete list below).

How to Apply for NTA UGC NET June 2025

Step Details
1 Preparation: Download and read the Information Bulletin from https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. Prepare scanned images of photograph (10-200 KB) and signature (4-30 KB).
2 Registration: Visit https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ between 16 April 2025 to 07 May 2025. Click "New Registration" and enter details to get Application Number.
3 Fill Application Form:
  • Enter personal details (name, parents' names, date of birth, gender, category, etc.)
  • Provide educational qualifications (Master's degree details, subject code from list)
  • Select exam center preferences
  • Upload photograph and signature in specified format
4 Fee Payment: Pay the applicable fee (₹1150 for General, ₹600 for OBC/EWS, ₹325 for SC/ST/PwD) through online payment modes.
5 Final Submission: Review all details carefully and submit the application. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
6 Correction Window: If needed, make corrections during 09-10 May 2025 (no changes allowed after this period).
