Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Master's degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in relevant subject from UGC-recognized institutions
- Final year students can apply provisionally but must complete degree within 2 years (for JRF/Assistant Professor) or 1 year (for Ph.D. only) from NET result date
- 4-year Bachelor's degree candidates need 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS)
- Ph.D. holders who completed Master's by 19 September 1991 get 5% relaxation (50% marks)
Age Limits:
- JRF: Maximum 30 years as of 1 June 2025 (relaxation up to 5 years for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender/women/research experience/armed forces service; 3 years for LLM degree holders)
- Assistant Professor/Ph.D. Admission: No upper age limit
