Eligibility Criteria

For Indian Nationals and OCI/PIO (I)

Candidates must fulfill all five criteria:

  • Performance in JEE (Main) 2025: Must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates in B.E./B.Tech. paper
  • Age Limit: Born on or after October 1, 2000 (SC/ST/PwD: October 1, 1995)
  • Number of Attempts: Maximum two attempts in consecutive years
  • Class XII Appearance: First appearance in 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • Not admitted to an IIT program listed in JoSAA 2024 Business Rules

For Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO (F)

  • Age Limit: Born on or after October 1, 2000 (relaxation for military service)
  • Number of Attempts: Maximum two in consecutive years
  • Class XII Appearance: First appearance in 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
  • Not required to write JEE (Main) 2025; register directly for JEE (Advanced)

Additional Notes

  • Candidates who appeared in Class XII in 2023 and withdrew from courses between 05.11.2024 and 18.11.2024 can register (as per Supreme Court order)
  • Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO (F) are outside reservation categories

How to Fill the Registration Form

Step Details
1 Access the Portal: Visit https://jeeadv.ac.in during the registration period (April 23 to May 2, 2025).
2 Login:
  • Indian nationals and OCI/PIO (I): Use JEE (Main) 2025 credentials
  • Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO (F): Register directly
3 Fill Personal Details: Enter name, date of birth, contact details, and category. OCI/PIO candidates pre-04.03.2021 must select OCI/PIO (I) or OCI/PIO (F).
4 Upload Documents: Scanned copies of required documents (Class X certificate, Class XII certificate, category certificates if applicable, etc.).
5 Scribe/Compensatory Time: Opt for scribe or compensatory time if eligible by uploading relevant disability certificates.
6 Pay Fee: Use payment gateway; note additional charges.
7 Submit: Verify details; submit before deadline. Registration is canceled if eligibility criteria are not met later.

Role of Scribe

Scribe reads questions and enters answers as directed; no explanations or solutions provided. Compensatory time of one hour extra per paper is allowed (end time: 13:00 IST for Paper 1, 18:30 IST for Paper 2).
